Left without goods after store closes
Dianne Pauwells was shocked when Nefco Furniture Ltd. locked its doors and went out of business the very day her new leather couch and chair were to be delivered.
She was doubly mortified when she saw the couch she bought — a floor model that she could identify by a small tear in the back — was sold again to someone else at the store’s liquidation sale three months later. Pauwells had no way of knowing the record-keeping at Nefco Furniture Ltd
